Cruise Terminal
The need for available mooring points and the need for the cruise ships timetable to be respected made the Port Authority plan – in the port of Olbia – works meant to create new docks up to welcoming all big and modern cruise ships.
The inauguration of the pier n°9 south of the Isola Bianca’s wharf, 187 mt in length - that took place in May 2008 – was followed in 2009 by the delivery of pier n° 1 and pier n°2.
These two piers measure 275 mt each and are located north of Isola Bianca’s wharf. Their role will be mainly to foster cruise traffic development and they will be provided with a proper cruise terminal able to assure – besides a first rate service – all security measures listed in national and international regulations.
